LENT

We are approaching a favorable time of reflection, a time when we turn to look at our actions, and our walk in the church. With Ash Wednesday we will begin the season of Lent, the time of renewal that prepares us for the Easter of Jesus, where we will relive within us the joy of the Risen Christ.

It’s 40 days; throughout this time, especially in the Sunday liturgy, we make an effort to recover the rhythm and style of true believers that we must live as children of God. The liturgical color of this time is purple, which means mourning and penance. It is a time of reflection, penance, spiritual conversion; time and preparation for the paschal mystery.

Stations of the Cross

The Stations of the Cross are part of the traditions most cherished by Catholics, especially during Lent. It is a spiritual exercise – and, in some cases, also a physical one – that helps those who do it to relive the passion and death of the Lord Jesus, accompanying him who gave his life for humanity and learning from him the “way of the cross”, the path of all men and women, even more of all Christians. Come join us on Tuesdays during Lent after our Newman Night.
